MSC Cruises currently has the most modern fleet in the world with eight ships: MSC Fantasia (the largest ship ever built for a European ship owner), MSC Poesia, MSC Orchestra, MSC Musica, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Armonia MSC Opera, MSC Lirica, MSC Melody, cruising in the Mediterranean year round and seasonally in Northern Europe, the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean, North and South America, the Indian Ocean and South Africa.
MSC Splendida and MSC Magnifica will be launched, respectively, in 2009 and 2010. MSC Cruises is the only company to receive the "6 Golden Pearls" award from the Bureau Veritas in recognition of its high level of quality management and environmental protection.

MSC Cruises (USA) Inc.is the North American sales and marketing agent of MSC Crociere, SA, of Naples, Italy. This Italian-owned cruise line operates a fleet of eight cruise ships. It is part of the Mediterranean Shipping Company family, a privately-owned shipping group founded in 1970 and headquartered in Geneva. Specializing in ocean and intermodal transportation worldwide, Mediterranean Shipping Company is the 2nd largest container carrier in the world, with more than 300 container ships. Mediterranean Shipping Company was selected by Containerisation International as 1999 Company of the Year and by a Lloyd Loading List customer service poll as 1996 Shipping Line of the Year.

History
MSC Cruises was founded in 1990 by its owner and Chairman, Gianluigi Aponte, and currently operates nine vessels with four more vessels under construction slated for delivery by 2009. Product Beautiful. Passionate. Italian. This includes the décor, attentive Italian hospitality and cuisine.
MSC Cruises features distinctive itineraries in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Northern Europe, South America as well as Ocean Voyages. Plus kids 17 and under sail free on MSC when sailing as the third/fourth guest in stateroom. Fleet MSC Cruses currently has a fleet of nine ships: MSC Poesia, MSC Orchestra, MSC Musica, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Opera, MSC Armonia, MSC Lirica, MSC Melody, cruising in the Mediterranean all year round and seasonally in Northern Europe, Caribbean, South America as well as seasonal Ocean Voyages. The fleet will increase to 12 ships by 2009.
In the summer of 2009 MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida will join the fleet. These will be two of the largest ships built by a European ship owner. Then in 2010 MSC Magnifica, the fourth ship in the "Musica" class, will also enter service.
